Adan was a Da'shain Aiel during the Breaking and the son of the leader, Jonai.
History
His whole family was killed during the journey south from Paaran Disen except for his grandchildren Lewin and Maigran.
After the raid in which his last living daughter Rhea was taken away by the raiders, he witnessed the splintering of a group of Aiel who would become the Tuatha'an.
Adan was one of Rand's ancestors, and likely the progenitor of the Andoran royal line as well, through Rhea. In this, Adan might be seen as a parallel to Adam.[1]
