She is described as thin and birdlike. She reminds Elaida of a sparrow. She has long light brown hair, which she brushes till it gleams.

She is from Tarabon.
Despite appearing outwardly timid, she is one of the best mediators the Gray Ajah has. She can have an acid tongue.
Everyone was sure that she would become a Sitter for the Hall in forty or fifty years. She has worn the shawl for seventy years or less.

She was elected to Sitter by Serancha Colvine after Elaida became Amyrlin to replace Varilin, who had joined with the rebels.
After Siuan is deposed, she becomes one of Elaida's close confidants. She enquires after Elayne Trakand and Galad Damodred, who disappeared after the White Tower schism. If the Tower cannot locate them, then Andor may become as closed to Aes Sedai as Amadicia. Morgase Trakand will make the White Tower her enemy.
She is one of the Sitters that is in a meeting with Elaida when Alviarin Freidhen returns to the Tower. At this meeting, she berates Velina and Shevan for having nothing useful to say.
She is part of the group that confronts Elaida about the prospect of negotiations. She argues very strongly in favour of them and not allowing any fighting to occur in Tar Valon. She fears the fact that the rebels could simply Travel into the city. Elaida grants her request to parley with the Rebel Aes Sedai, but insists that her conditions are met. Namely, that the Blue Ajah will cease to exist and that any sister that served under Egwene al'Vere must serve penance under Elaida's guidance before being readmitted to any of the Ajahs.

She is unlikely to be Black Ajah because she was a strong advocate of negotiations with the rebel army and allowing the rebels to come back to the Tower so that it may be whole and strong in the face of the Last Battle.
