Aril Corl is a refugee from Taien, a small town in the eastern end of the Jangai Pass, in Cairhien.

Though she may have been handsome in the past, events in Taien have caused her face to be impressed with lines which mark her worry, and gaunt cheeks from hunger.
Activities[]
After Couladin and the Shaido Aiel stop and decimate the town of Taien on their way from Alcair Dal to Cairhien, she accompanies her husband, Ander, and her brother, Tal Nethin, in approaching Rand al'Thor and his group on their way into Taien. The three are now refugees from the events in Taien, part of about one hundred survivors from the Shaido's attack. Rand decides to take the refugees with him.
Aril tells Rand that the Shaido took her daughter and son with them, as "guy-something." Moiraine uses the One Power on her after hearing this, apparently for Healing.[1]
