The Battle of Falme is the name given to the fight on Toman Head where the Seanchan Ever Victorious Army was first defeated by the allied forces. During the battle Matrim Cauthon blew the Horn of Valere, forging a link with the relic and summoning the legendary Heroes of the Horn to fight under the Dragon Banner, purging the Seanchan from Falme and driving back the Whitecloaks.
At the same time Rand al'Thor did battle with Ishamael in the sky, emerging victorious while also receiving the first of his two never-healing wounds.[1]
