He is tall and slender with a dark pointed beard.

He is playing cards with Matrim Cauthon when the cards become life-sized and attack Mat. He is captain in the Band of the Red Hand.

He later joins the Band of the Red Hand and travels to Murandy where King Roedran employs the Band to stay on the border. After the employment is completed, he sets off with a number of the Band's banners and finds Mat in Altara.
