I created this category because I was interested in looking at all of the interviews with Robert Jordan that had happened at bookstores and conventions. In a quick review of the Special Pages list, I noticed that a great many (roughly 3/4s) of the uncategorized pages were, in fact, about interviews, letters, convention reports, and book signings. Given the sheer number of these, it might be a good idea at some point in the future to make subcategories for this category. But for now, at least they're all in one place.--Kodia 23:56, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Copyright violation (resolved)[]
So, I have a question. Five of the reports up in this category were created by me. I have never licensed these in any way whatsoever (which means just 'plain' copyright laws apply). Now I see them here up on wikia, with a FDL license button in the footer. I'm not in principle opposed to sharing my reports (in fact I'm generally very much in favour of it), but I have never looked into the FDL in depth yet, and am uncertain if that license is one I'd actually like to license my content under (specifically I want to see what it says about commercial use). Likewise, I suspect virtually none of the authors of these reports are even aware that they're now available on this wiki, or would choose this license. Is there any way to denote that certain articles do not fall under the FDL, at least until I have time to take an in depth look at it? Are there any thoughts on the larger issue of user 66.172.231.220 throwing up all these reports without permission, or even an effort to contact the original authors (as far as I'm aware)? - Looks like Gherald took care of this back in late April. Let us know if they come back illicitly. -- nae'blis 19:41, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- They've indeed come back. I've reported it to Mainphramephreak - http://wot.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Mainphramephreak#Copyright_violations_.28again.29 - I really do think this community should do _something_ about the larger issue of all the other reports in here, too.
