He is First Captain of the Illianer Companions. He served under Rand al'Thor's father. He is lantern-jawed.

He goes with Rand al'Thor when Rand tries to deal with the Illian rebels loyal to Lord Brend. He is quite often the leader of Rand's bodyguards. He spreads the Companions out on Rand's flanks in the final assault on the Seanchan.
