Evanellein is an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah.

When we see her at Elaida's meeting, she wears a low neckline. Elaida thinks that she is too concerned with clothes and her own looks.

She was a Sitter in the Hall of the Tower under Suian Sanche.

She has remained loyal to the White Tower during the split and is a Sitter for the Gray Ajah in the Tower Hall.

Evanellein was one of the sisters who took Siuan Sanche into custody.

After Siuan is deposed, she becomes one of Elaida's close confidants. She reports to Elaida's council that the Panarch of Tarabon, Amathera has suddenly disappeared and that an Aes Sedai may be responsible. This was a result of the activities of Liandrin's Group of Black Sisters.

Yukiri reports that Evanellein is for bringing down Elaida for the disaster of the Attack on the Black Tower.
