Abayan

Abayan was a kingdom of the Free Years, founded after the Trolloc Wars out of the ruins of the kingdom of Jaramide. It was later annexed as part of Artur Hawkwing's Empire and its territory today is occupied by the kingdom of Arad Doman

Geography

Abayan was bordered by the Aryth Ocean to the west and north, the River Dhagon to the south and the mountains just north of the Dhagon (an offshoot of the Mountains of Mist to the east. Its neighbors were Darmovan and Oman Dashar to the south, Indrahar to the east and Basharande to the far north-east.

The precise location and name of Abayan's capital city is unknown. Bandar Eban lay on its border with Darmovan, but it is unknown where its allegiances lay.

History

Little is known of Abayan. It remained free of the War of the Second Dragon, as although Guaire Amalasan's power base of Darmovan lay just to the south he instead chose to wage a campaign south and eastwards towards Tear, and paid little attention to Abayan.

Abayan was conquered by Artur Hawkwing during the Consolidation and formed part of his empire. During the War of the Hundred Years Abayan's territory was seized by the growing nation of Arad Doman.
