Great Library

Generally considered the largest and most complete library in the world. Situated in a large structure second only to the White Tower in size. It incorporates many offices and workrooms, with many assigned to Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah. It contains many rooms, some open to the public while others only open to Aes Sedai and still some others are closed to all save the Amyrlin Seat.

It has suffered only three (known) destructive events. The first, occurring during the fourth assault of Tar Valon during the Trolloc Wars, resulted in the most damage. Minor damage was done to the library during the Great Fire of FY 642. The latest, during Hawkwing's time, was suspected to be deliberate arson on the part of the Aes Sedai, who may not have wished Hawkwing to learn certain things.
