The Great Winter War is a conflict fought between the kingdoms of Andor and Cairhien, beginning in late 671 NE and presumably extending into at least the following year.

The causes of the war and how it was resolved are unknown at this time. The war is one of several that is taught by Aes Sedai in Brown Ajah history lessons to novices and Accepted in the White Tower.
