Jeorad Manyard is listed in history texts as the governor for the Imperial Province of Andor for the High King, Artur Hawkwing.

History[]

Dates for Jeorad Manyard rule are not given. Since Endara Casalain was made governor of Andor some time after Hawkwing's marraige to the Lady Tamika in FY 965, it is assumed that Manyard was governor between Aldeshar's capitulation in FY 963, or earlier, if the province of Andor existed prior to the end of the Consolidation, and prior to Endara being given the title.

Next to nothing is known of Manyard aside from a partial translation of the Karaethon Cycle that has survived with his name attached to it.

Sources[]

Jeorad Manyard's name solely appears in the series in the closing quotation to Lord of Chaos, where he is named "Governor of the Province of Andor for the High King, Artur Paendrag Tanreall." Elsewhere in the same novel and also in The World of Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time, Endara Casalain is named as the governor of Andor some time after the Black Years (FY 961 - 965) but before Hawkwing's death in FY 994. Thus, Manyard must have been governor prior to Endara's ascent to the position.
