Jheran is the clan chief for the Shaarad Aiel.

His clan has a blood feud with Bael's Goshien clan.

He was a Knife Hand before he was a Clan Chief.

He is present at Alcair Dal when Rand al'Thor declares himself Car'a'carn the same time Couladin does. After this he takes his clan to Rhuidean while waiting for all the rest of the clans to gather there.

Due to Rand's Ta'veren nature he heals the Blood Oath with the Goshien Clan with Water Oath's and now seems very calm.

He leads his Aiel Clan when he is sent to the Plains of Maredo when Rand gathers a massive army in ready for the attack on Illian.
