Lamgwin Dorn was hired by Basel Gill to prevent trouble in The Queen's Blessing in Caemlyn.

He is a hulking figure with heavy lidded eyes, an often broken nose with scars on his face.

He along with Basel Gil, Queen Morgase, Lini, Tallanvor and Breane Taborwin travel to Amadicia where they are made guests of King Ailron and subsequently kept under guard. Since Breane fled Cairhien, she seems to have met Lamgwin and fallen in love with him, being utterly devoted to him. Lamgwin and the rest are then held captive in the Fortress of the Light by Pedron Niall. He manages to escape with Morgase and the rest of her crew with the help of Sebban Balwer.

Upon escaping Amadicia, the party go on to become personal servants of Perrin and Faile of the Two Rivers.

Perrin sends him north just before the attack on the Shaido in Malden with the intention of catching up with him afterwards.
