Latelle Luca is a bear trainer in Valan Luca's Traveling Show.[1] She is also married to Valan.[2]

Latelle Luca is a stern-faced woman with dark eyes and short dark hair.

Before marriage[]
When Elayne Trakand, Nynaeve al'Meara, Thomdril Merrilin and Juilin Sandar join Valan's show, he introduces them to Latelle.[1] When the Chavana brothers flirt with Nynaeve over dinner, Latelle attacks Nynaeve with a stick. This causes Nynaeve to respond in kind and Petra Anhill, the show's strongman, has to carry Latelle back to her wagon.[3] When Valan learns of this, he forces Nynaeve to apologize to Latelle.[4] Later, when Cerandin and Nynaeve begin fighting, Latelle seems to still hold a grudge as she hands Cerandin a stick.[5] This grudge, however, appears to have mellowed, if not vanish, when Nynaeve and her group depart the show in Samara.[6]
After marriage[]
Despite Valan wishing to marry Nynaeve, he marries Latelle. She seems to be a bad cook, as [2] Matrim Cauthon did not like the food she cooked for the dinner Matt had with Valan and Latelle .[7][8] Latelle is one of the few people who know of Tuon Athaem Kore Paendrag, Selucia and Egeanin Tamarath's true identities.[9]
