Liah is a Maiden of the Spear of the Cosaida sept of the Chareen Aiel.

Liah is one of the Maidens who follow Rand al'Thor to Shadar Logoth and is lost while there.

When Rand returns to Shadar Logoth while following Sammael, he sees her again and is forced to use balefire on her rather than allowing her to be taken by Mashadar.
