Pedron Niall makes plans with his two spy masters. The first man in just the publicly known spy master who listens to gossip. His true spymaster is his grumpy secretary that doesn't believe in anything unless there is plenty of proof. They talked about Morgase deciding that she would have to give in and let them escort her to Caemlyn to take it back for her. The Children of the Light would then get to come and go through Caemlyn however they wished. She would have to give in sooner than later they decided since the longer she stayed penned in with them the more the people would believe that she sided with the White Cloaks and that would then force her agree to their terms.

Queen Morgase is riding out with ladies from where she was held in Ghealdan by the White Cloaks assigned to watch her by Pedron Niall. Morgase ends the hunt they were having for hawks and rides slowly back to the palace in Ghealdan. On the way she sees hollow cheeked refugees. If Rand was letting her people become so bedraggled then she vowed to make him pay.
