Mandelain is the clan chief of the Daryne Aiel.

He has lost his right eye and wears an eye-patch over it and has a scar which runs along the right side of his face. He is just about completely bald.

[edit] Activities

His clan joins Rand al'Thors forces after the Shaido seige of Cairhien. He now occupies Cairhien. When Rand was kidnapped by White Tower Aes Sedai the bleakness hits his clan hard.

Rand uses Merana Ambrey as a servant to convince Mendelain that he is not an Aes Sedai puppet in the hope Mendelain will continue to support him.
