Melare is an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah.

Melare is a plump Andoran with bright blue eyes and thick black eyebrows.

Melare is a slightly atypical Red Sister in that she does not seem to despise men - in fact she sends money back to Andor for her grandnephews' education.

Melare, along with Arebis, Desala Nevanche, Zanica and three other Aes Sedai were involved in the capture of Leane at Northharbor. Melare was also sent, along with Pevara Tazanovni, Javindhra Doraille, Desala, Jezrail and Tarna Feir, to the Black Tower to put the proposition of Red Sisters bonding Asha'man as Warders to Mazrim Taim. He has agreed to this.
