She is captured during the Seanchan attack on Ebou Dar and made a Damane. Matrim Cauthon sneaks into her room where she is held in the damane kennels and frees her from the A'dam. In return he teaches her how to unlock the a'dam by herself. She is to then wait three hours and then release as many of the captive Sea Folk damane as she can and then fight their way to freedom.
