Nyein is an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah.

She is one of the Atha'an Miere and works in the White Tower Library, along with Aiden and Zemaille, the other Atha'an Miere Aes Sedai. They tend to stay on the upper levels of the library with the secret records.

As with the other Aes Sedai of Atha'an Miere origin, Nyein is relatively weak in the One Power.
