Lord Pelivar is an Andoran Lord and High Seat of House Coelan. The sign of House Coelan are the Roses.

Appearance Edit

His dark hair is thinning[1] and he is very lean[2].

History Edit

Along with Lord Abelle Pendar, Lady Arathelle Renshar, Lady Ellorien Traemane, Lady Aemlyn Carand, and Lord Luan Norwelyn supported Morgase Trakand for the Lion Throne and were exiled while she was under the influence of Gaebril[3].

Activities Edit

After Gaebril's defeat and Rand al'Thor's conquest of Caemlyn, he sneaks back into the city[4]. He is invited by Rand in the Royal Palace and Lord Pelivar meets with the Dragon along many other major Lords[5].

Pelivar initially supports Dyelin Taravin for the Lion Throne[6]. With the help of Dyelin he imprisons Elenia Sarand and Naean Arawn who had proclaimed themselves for the Lion Throne when Rand had been kidnapped by the White Tower Aes Sedai[7].

He and Arathelle move an army to intercept the Salidar Aes Sedai army when they approach the border of Andor. He meets with the Salidar delegation and states he will move when their army does[1]. He seems very cool when told by Egwene al'Vere that Elayne is on her way to Caemlyn to claim the Lion Throne.

He leaves the border of Murandy and heads near Caemlyn, where he sets up camp with Abelle, Luan, Ellorien, Aemlyn and Arathelle. There they sit to the side and stay neutral during Arymilla Marne's siege on Caemlyn against Elayne[8].

When Arymilla's force is defeated[9] a message is sent to Elayne asking for safe passage in Caemlyn for the neutral High Seats. They meet with Elayne and Luan asks for a temporary alliance with Elayne's forces to fight against the Borderlands army in Andor. Elayne reveals she invoked her right as an Aes Sedai and allowed them safe passage across Andor into Murandy to keep looking for the Dragon Reborn.

Luan and then Abelle throw their support behind House Trakand. Arathelle, Aemlyn and Pelivar also throw their support behind Elayne, but only for Dyelin[2]. This gives Elayne the required amount of Houses to obtain the Lion Throne.
