Sh'boan is the title of the female ruler of Shara.
After seven years of rule, she dies. Her consort, the Sh'botay, selects a Queen, rules for seven years, and dies afterwards. His queen then takes the title of Sh'boan & chooses a new king. Seven years after that, the new Sh'boan dies and is replaced by her King, and the cycle continues. Reportedly, this lineage has gone on in Shara for thousands of years, and is accepted as the natural order of things.
