Shaido
From A Wheel of Time Wiki
The Shaido are one of the twelve Aiel clans. They have splintered off from the rest of the Aiel; its now-deceased leader, Couladin, claimed to be the real Car'a'carn and led the Shaido across the Dragonwall into Cairhien. His claim was bolstered by markings on his arms identical to those Rand received in Rhuidean. Asmodean placed them there to sow dissent. His claim has been supported posthumously by his lover Sevanna, who continues to lead the clan until a new chief can be established.
In recent events, the Shaido were scattered across the southwest of the continent by Sammael (in disguise), but Sevanna has managed to gather a large force around her, which notably holds many wetlanders as gai'shain, a break with Aiel custom.

Most of the Shaido are now returning to the Three-Fold Land, following their decimation by Perrin Aybara and the Andoran, Ghealdanin, Mayener and Aiel forces he brought with him to rescue his wife Faile. The Seanchan also aided Perrin in the this engagement, known as the Battle of Malden.
