Shielding

Shielding is the act of blocking someone from the One Power. With a circle of thirteen women it is not possible for a male channeler to avoid being shielded. It is also likely that such a circle could shield any woman. A shield may be tied off and left to stay on its own, but such a weave can eventually be broken by someone with enough patience or pain tolerance. Shielding weaves can also be made semi-permanent if tied off expertly, but this is not as final as severing.
