Tai'daishar ("Lord of Glory" in the Old Tongue), is the name of a great fiery-eyed black gelding Rand al'Thor acquired shortly after his rescue from the Tower Aes Sedai during the Battle of Dumai's Wells. The horse used to belong to Kiruna Nachiman of the Rebel Aes Sedai faction. Rand comments on Tai'daishar's ability to mirror his own mood in any given moment, as shown by Tai'daishar's solid demeanor in the short campaign against Seanchan forces on the borders of Illian.

Tai'daishar accompanied Rand to most places his owner traveled after he acquired ownership of the gelding. These places include: Cairhien, the locations where Rand's forces battled the Seanchan in Altara, Tear, the location where Rand met "The Daughter of the Nine Moons," in Saldaea just north of Maradon, Bandar Eban, Falme, and just outside of Far Madding.
