Takima has long black hair and an ivory complexion. She is tiny.

She remembers everything she reads.
Takima is well versed in the history of the White Tower and the Aes Sedai, as well as Tower law.
She was a Sitter in the Hall prior to the split.

She is allied with the Salidar Aes Sedai and belongs to Lelaine Akashi's faction.
She reinforces Egwene al'Vere's comments on the Law of War. She votes NO on the Rebel Aes Sedai declaring war on Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan and is outvoted. She weeps when Egwene tells the Hall that the Siege of Tar Valon begins in a month.
She is one of the Sitters that want to begin negotiations with Elaida's White Tower. She votes NO in the Rebel Hall of the Tower for an alliance with the Black Tower.
She is part of the group that negotiate with the White Tower Aes Sedai in Darein.
