Gaidal Cain's AgeEdit
Erm, where does it say Birgitte is both 10 years older and 10 years younger than Gaidal? All I remember is that the books say she was sometimes much older and sometimes much younger than him, but not figures were not given. The Dragon Preborn 22:03, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm thinking that was in Egwene's dreaming of her, before she got ripped out into the real world... so it'd be an early book. -- nae'blis 05:44, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Regardless, identity theories concerning Gaidal Cain do not deserve this much attention in an article about Birgitte. They're much better suited in the Gaidal Cain stub-class article, and could serve to flesh it out a bit. I'm going to move them over there. --DanceTheSpears 21:54, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Ok so I took out the 10 years older and 10 years younger bit because it is not mentioned in min's viewing from WH chapter 12. Cleebenner 20:20, July 22, 2010 (UTC)Cleebenner
In the character template it says "Unknown Nationality." Technically, Birgitte is of no nationality because she is a Hero of the Horn. Or, if you consider her nationality where she was torn out of the Tel'aran'rhiod, it would be Ghealdan (I believe this is where she was torn out). Regardless, "Unknown Nationality" isn't a proper description in the Character Template. Does anyone have any thoughts on what should be there or if it should not include nationality? Technically, one of Birgitte's titles would be gaidar, comprised of the Old Tongue elements gai meaning "(of) battle", and dar, "sister, woman, feminine, of womanhood". Compare how gaidin and saidin go together. Saidar and gaidar make as much sense, don't they? It makes me sad that we didn't see this make it into the actual books.
