Talk:Lan Mandragoran
From A Wheel of Time Wiki
I'm inclined to move this to Lan Mandragoran - is the al' part of his name, officially, or merely an embedded title? nae'blis (talk) 18:47, 27 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with you. He's known more commonly as Lan anyway, not al'Lan.--Dukeruckley 13:13, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's the Royal title if I remember correctly. It might be considered part of the name since Rand al'Thor still seemed like a Royal name, and the al falls between his given name and family name? - Elliot N 15:03, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Baby in cradle holding a sword
This viewing could just as easily refer to Lan's past. Arguments in favour of this are his origin story; oaths sworn in his name, anointed as king, given the sword.
