these articles/catagory could better arranged how about a 'list of' Catagory page for each (subsec of White Tower cat), and a main article for each?

All novices can channel. Novicehood is a stepping-stone during which the person is changed and molded into an Aes Sedai; some will never make it out of novicehood because they are too weak (Morgase Trakand is a good example; she's so weak she likely would never have made Accepted.) Despite that, all novices can channel to some extent: if someone can't channel and doesn't display the ability through the testing, they don't become a novice.
