Point of view: Perrin Aybara

In Illian, Faile tells Perrin about the city. This is where she took her Hunter’s oath. Loial is nervous because their stonemasons built the city, and they send for them when things need to be repaired. Perrin says Moiraine will not let someone take him back. Perrin notices that the people in this town seem wrong, stern maybe. They come along an inn, Easing the Badger. The innkeeper talks about eh weather and winter being worse than any others. The council has forbidden any ship to sail for Tear. There is talk of war with Tear. Perrin smells something wrong. Six men walk toward him, and then they have daggers in their hands. Perrin yells, and Moiraine and Lan get up. Moiraine says greymen, after the innkeeper. She does not believe her. Moiraine says she must go on alone, after the greymen.
