Lan says Rand is gone. Perrin has been very hungry lately, and can do nothing before breakfast. He really wants raw meat. Masema thinks they did something to anger the Dragon, and he abandoned them. Perrin, Min and Moiraine are in Moiraine’s room. Everyone seems to be blaming everyone else for Rand’s disappearance. Min gave Perrin a note Rand wrote. He says he is not letting more die for him, so he’s running away. Perrin says he would not have proclaimed himself the Dragon if not for Moiraine. He got past the guards because they would do anything the Dragon tells him. Moiraine says there are things out there trying to get Rand that no one knows about yet. The seals on the dark one’s prison are weakening. What if the Forsaken are waiting for him, Moiraine said. Perrin mutters about Rand’s dreams and Moiraine makes him tell her about his dreams. Of Callandor. They know Rand is going to Tear now. Moiraine says Min should go to Tar Valon, as the Amyrlin has to know that everyone else is going to Tear.
