Nynaeve begins teaching Siuan how to control tel'aron'rhiod. She then glimpses Moghedien's face and flees. Nynaeve manages to act defeated crawling towards Moghedien. When she got close enough she made an A'dam appear on her wrist and on Moghedien's neck. Nynaeve then took the Forsaken with her to Caemlyn to see if she could do something from Tel'aron'rhiod.

Rand battles Rhavin. Rhavin jumps into a gateway and Rand follows. Rhavin tried to kill Rand as Nynaeve using Moghedien through the A'dam follows Rhavin. She then struck at Rhavin saving Rand. When Rand was freed from Rhavin's hold when he loosed balefire at Rhavin leaving nothing. Nynaeve feels shocked but then Rand came up to see what he had done and sees Nynaeve. Nynaeve heals Rand and Rand tells her that Lan had told him to tell her that he had found another. (Rand had heard Lan say that a clean break healed faster.)

Nynaeve let Moghedien go but not before making her drink a mixture that would make her truly sleep. Rand went back to the Andoran castle in the waking world killing trollocs and myrdrall disappear with balefire strands.

The next thing Rand saw was Avienda and Mat. He ran and hugged them both. The Balefire that he had used on Rhavin wiped Rhavin's thread from the pattern far back enough that he hadn't attacked and killed Aviendha, Mat, Asmodeon and the Cairhienen Dragon flag bearer.
