The Golden Cup is an inn in the city of Tear. Mat and Thom find Comar there when they are looking for Elayne, Nynaeve and Egwene. Comar is gambling using two sets of dice to win from the locals. Mat gambles with him and wins even though they used the same loaded dice. He then confronts Comar, and after a brief scuffle Mat manages to toss him on to a table which unintentionally breaks his back. The innkeeper promises to give the Defenders a different description for the killer, a man he dreamed of the previous night which matches the description of Rand.[1]
