"I will do my best, Hurin. By my House and honor. A shepherd's House and a shepherd's honor, but I'll make them do as well as a lord's."

Setting: Mirror World

Point of view: Rand al'Thor

Rand felt his skin prickling as he fell asleep, and again as he woke up in a different place.[1] Loial, Hurin, Rand and the horses were the only ones around.  Where is everyone? Hurin wanted to know, and starts to panic.  Rand says he doesn't know where they are, but he will get them back.  Loial says he thinks this stone that Rand is leaning against is a Stone that runs between worlds of "if".  Rand has no ides what he is talking about, but he realizes that he is the one who brought them there, somehow, and that he has to get them out.  There are stone steps leading up, one color for each ajah, Rand realizes.

Hurin can still smell the darkfriend trail in this world but the smell is fainter. They decide to follow the trail to see if the darkfriends can help them return to the real world.
