Point of view: Perrin Aybara

Perrin is still looking for the prophet. A group of men who follow the prophet came up to Perrin as they crossed a bridge. The men let them pass but they watched him and his men as they passed. They then entered Abila, a town where the prophet resided for the time being. Balwur went off to gather information. Perrin announced that he had come with a message for the prophet from the lord dragon.

Perrin told the propher, Masema, that Rand summoned him to Cairhien.

Point of view: Faile Bashere

Maghden was with Faile talking. They were hawking. Berelain and Alliandre were with her. Faile was glad that Perrin would fight back with her when she got upset when he talked to Berelain. She didn't like feeling that they Perrin didn't think that she could fight back. Three of her men came running saying that Masema was working with the Seanchan. Then they were surrounder by Aiel being shot at. She yelled for them to ride like fire to tell Perrin about the Seanchan. Faile drew a knife but then her horse was shot and an Aiel captured her after a tussle. She was stripped naked and she saw that Bain, and Chiad were also captured. The captores said that Sevannah wanted more Ghaishain for answer to the question that Faile's captor asked. Alliandre and Maigdan were then dragged over naked as well.

Point of view: Egwene al'Vere

Egwene was traveling listening to Chaysa grumble about the other two maids running away. Thinking about the novices increased numbers, with the novice book being open for a month they had gotten a flood of woman and girls who wanted to be Aes Sedai. They now had 1000 novices, which was double what they had before.

Romanda and Lilaine opened their mouths to talk to her. Egwene put them off by commanding for a gateway to be made. Romanda sniffed but thirteen Aes Sedai grouped together making a gateway to Tar Valon. Men streamed through and soon after Sheriam said. "It is begun."

Egwene went through feeling like she could see the white walls of Tar Valon.
