Tomas is Warder to Verin Mathwin, an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah. He is her second Gaidin, bonded years after her first Warder died.

He is short and stocky with graying hair.

He is part of the Amyrlin's ecort to Fal Dara. For some reason he didn't accompany Verin when she joined Rand al'Thor and the others when they were searching for the Horn of Valere and ended up battling the Seanchan in Falme. He is then present with her when she is in the Two Rivers when Perrin Aybara comes back to confront the Children of the Light. He helps the village in fighting the Shadowspawn army.

He then Travels with Verin and Cadsuane Melaidhrin to Far Madding to track down Rand. After leaving Far Madding, he stands guard over Min Farshaw and Harine din Togara Two Winds during the Battle near Shadar Logoth.

He accompanies Rand and Verin to Algarin Pendaloan's house in Tear, where Rand recovers after cleansing Saidin. He watches Lan Mandragoran and Jahar Narishma practice sword play in the courtyard with the other Warders.

He leaves with Verin, when she departs from Rand and his company.
