Torean is plain with a lumpy face, large ears and thin eyebrows. He wears a dark, pointed beard streaked with white and looks like a farmer.

Sunamon and Meilan, along with Torean, crafted a treaty with Mayene that would allow Torean an occupying army there. When this was presented to Rand for his approval, he became so angry that he burned it and threatened to hang the three of them if a reasonable treaty was not drafted.
He is sent with the army of Tear to restore order to Cairhien which is to be financed with the money from his own House

Torean has sworn fealty to Rand as the Dragon Reborn after the battle with the Shaido in Cairhien, along with the High Lords Aracome, Gueyam, Hearne, Maraconn and Simaan but Rand still questions their loyalty.

He is one of the High Lords under the command of Weiramon. He is sent to the Plains of Maredo where Rand is gathering a massive army for the imminant attack on Illian.
He rides with Rand when Rand's forces attack the invading Seanchan just outside Illian. He follows Semaradrid into the final assault on the Seanchan.
