[edit] Chapter Summaries
I'm reading TSR so I'm probably going to do some work on those summaries. I'm not sure if the one I've done is too detailed, but I'm sure someone can slim it sown if need be. Cheers LaneRendell 22:55, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Hey boss i'm mucking around with some Asha'man character profiles. Not sure on the colour banner u wanted. If u have a look at Mazrim Taim and fiddle with his I will go and base the rest of the Asha'man on him. Cheers --GuanYu79 20:05, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks for your work
Hi Chris, I was just looking through the history and wanted to thank and congratulate you for your excellent work in recent months. Carry on, and feel free to drop me a line if I can be of help.
I also feel obliged to note that if you keep this up I might have to unilaterally draft you into being an administrator, will all the awesome powers of deleting pages and performing other administra-trivia so entailed. You've been warned! ; ) --Gherald 16:03, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
LOL! Thanks Gherald! I really enjoy the wiki and the wiki code makes it so easy to contribute to. As it says on my user page, I have been doing WoT stuff online for a long while, so with WoTmania closing down in the autumn I need to get my WoT addiction elsewhere. ;) There is always a hell of a lot to do, but every edit counts and you can really see how the place is shaping up. Cheers! :D --Moridin_2000 16:17, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Ahem I just noticed the blog comment from an hour or so before where you asked me to review your work and make you a sysop—great minds think alike >_> --Gherald 16:26, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- LOL! No harm in asking, is there? ;) But seriously, sysop status would be really cool for doing those little things I can't right now, as well as being nifty in and of itself. Later! Chris

- And I see you have gone ahead and added me to the sysops already. :D Excellent! Thanks Gherald!

[edit] Month pages
I commented a bit ago at Talk:Calendar that I'm not sure it'll be helpful to have them if they're just a few sentences (i.e. I think they could be included in the omnibus Calendar) -- but suit yourself. --Gherald 22:03, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Maps for the country pages
Hi. I found a very good outline map for the Westlands online some time ago which was easy to convert to a simple greyscale. I thought it would be useful to put the outlines of the borders of the nations on to show their locations. This will be of principle value for the Ten Nations and Free Years countries where readers do not have access to the World book. I've only done Arad Doman so far as I wanted to get your thoughts and consider the copyright issue: I have no idea who created the original map, although I've changed it a fair bit. Do you know what the correct info would be to put in the copyright box? Also, I can't get a caption to appear for the image. Do you know how to do that? Cheers --Werthead 17:28, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- responded at his talk --Gherald 17:50, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- Cheers for both your input, and the blog rec! According to my notes, I've got a monstrous 55 of these things to do if I'm doing every single historical and present nation, and that's not including Malkier and Hardan. Shame we don't have more info about the other fallen nations.--Werthead 22:16, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Lol...
I haven't edited a wiki in years, sorry for forgetting the tildes... silly of me. Matrim 04:57, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] What are the rules for referencing information from The Gathering Storm?
To use a non spoiler example, in the recently released audiobook for chapter two, the legendary green sister Caraighan Maconar is referenced. Could I edit her page with the information therein?
What about more important information that would be considered a spoiler, like the character who dies in the prologue? (Charlz Guybon 20:18, September 24, 2009 (UTC)Charlz Guybon)
- I don't really know the protocol for here since I wasn't around when the last book was released. In general, people tend to wait a while before adding spoilers but I can imagine that it will be very difficult to control what is added once the book comes out. Personally, I'm leaning towards any spoilers being added to the wiki as long as the spoiler template is added, though perhaps a more sensible route would be to simply add a disclaimer to the main page warning that spoilers will be present. As far as other wikis go, like the one for Lost, this was the method they took. The material was updated as soon as it became available. I don't know what the consensus with Naeblis and Gherald will be though. :) Moridin_2000 20:34, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
- I just notice that the main page now has a spoiler warning for THE GATHERING STORM, so it seems my gut instinct was right. But check the protocol on whether we need to put spoiler templates in the new info. I think that it would be redundant to have both. Apologies for being a bit vague. I will get back into the swing of things when my gf goes back to uni soon. :) Moridin_2000 20:44, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
- I talked to Naeblis and he said just to use the new Template:Spoiler on spoiler things.--OPTIMOUS 20:47, September 27, 2009 (UTC)
- I think we should add EVERYTHING from TGS once it is released (or if you've got access to the Prologue, add that). Just make sure to spoiler-wrap it so people can keep their brains pure for a few weeks at least, if they want. Once the paperback comes out, well probably drop the spoiler tags until the next book... rinse, repeat. -- nae'blis 18:12, September 28, 2009 (UTC)
- That seems fair enough. :) I have the prologue, so I will get to adding some of the minor details and characters soon, if someone hasn't got there before me. :) Moridin_2000 00:23, September 29, 2009 (UTC)
