Vane was a lacquerware merchant and a Darkfriend.[1]

He had graying hair, and was stocky with a pendulous lower lip.
Activities[]
He was playing dice in the town of Maderin when Mat asked to join the game. Vane recognized Mat and left the table to gather other men. They attacked Mat and Tuon as they were leaving town. Vane was one of the first to fall to one of Mat's knives.
