He arrives at Emond's Field to find that it has also been attacked by Trollocs^[1]. He is met by Nynaeve al'Meara, who inspects Tam and concludes that she can do nothing for him^[2]. Rand goes to the Winespring Inn to find Thom and Bran al'Vere, the latter of whom installs Tam in one of the rooms of the inn. Thom steers the conversation to Moiraine, who revealed herself as Aes Sedai in the fight against the Trollocs. Rand goes to Moiraine and swears to pay any price^[3] if she Heals Tam.
